Burnley vs Crystal Palace Preview: How to Watch on TV, Live Stream, Kick Off Time & Team News

Winless Burnley entertain Crystal Palace on Monday evening desperately looking to kickstart their stumbling Premier League campaign.

Sean Dyche has so far remained level headed about Burnley's poor start, but he'll be itching to get three points on the board against an Eagles side who have picked up four wins from their opening eight games.

A comprehensive 4-1 win over Leeds steered Palace into the latest international break, but Roy Hodgson will be without one of the star's of that particular show - owing to an injury Eberechi Eze picked up on international duty with England's Under-21s.

Here's 90min's preview of the game.

Burnley are without injured duo Robbie Brady and Dale Stephens, the former of the pair having picked up a hamstring issue while on international duty with Republic of Ireland.

The Clarets will be lifted, however, by the returns of Charlie Taylor, Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Erik Pieters and Phil Bardsley, who tested positive for COVID-19 last month.

Palace can call upon the services of Tyrick Mitchell, Joel Ward and James Tomkins should they wish to do so, with all three available after suspension and injury. Luka Milivojevic is sidelined through suspension, while Eze's aforementioned knock is likely to hand him a watching brief.

Predicted Lineups

Burnley: Pope; Lowton, Mee, Tarkowski, Taylor; Gudmundsson, Brownhill, Westwood, McNiel; Wood, Barnes

Crystal Palace: Guaita; Clyne, Tomkins, Dann, van Aanholt; Towsnend, Riedewald, McArthur, Schlupp, Ayew, Zaha

Recent Form

Burnley's start to the season has been woeful, picking up just two points from their opening seven games. In fact, it's the worst start to a Premier League season that Dyche's men have ever made, with a drab 0-0 draw with fellow strugglers Brighton symptomatic of their struggles.

The Clarets have netted just three goals this season, the lowest in the division, and need to find a way to get the best out of Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes; both of whom can be a real nuisance in the air if afforded the right service.

Palace are full of confidence after arguably their best performance of the season against Leeds, when they cruised to a 4-1 win at Selhurst Park.

They will be wary of shoring things up at the back though, as they have conceded 12 goals this season - on a par with Burnley, who only sit above Sheffield United in the Premier League table.

Here's how each side have fared in their last five games.

Burnley

Brighton 0-0 Burnley (06/11)
Burnley 0-3 Chelsea (31/10)
Burnley 0-1 Tottenham (26/10)
West Brom 0-0 Burnley (19/10)
Newcastle 3-1 Burnley (03/10)

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace 4-1 Leeds (07/11)
Wolves 2-0 Crystal Palace (30/10)
Fulham 1-2 Crystal Palace (24/10)
Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton (18/10)
Chelsea 4-0 Crystal Palace (03/10)

Prediction

Burnley will be under no illusions; a win here is essential to get their Premier League campaign motoring.

The Clarets are usually tough to beat at Turf Moor, so they'll need to dig deep and find some of the resilience they're known for having under Dyche.

Palace have the sprightly Wilfried Zaha in their ranks, and the Ivorian will again shoulder the creative burden going forward thanks to Eze's injury. With the hosts in dire straits, now is a good a time as any for Palace to secure a valuable three points on the road - and he could be the catalyst for an impressive win.

Prediction: Burnley 1-3 Crystal Palace
