Davis was on loan with Palace last season and now has completed a permanent move after being released by Derby County.
Warnock said: "I had him at Sheffield United and made him a millionaire there so he owes me one.
"He has had his contract cancelled up at Derby so he's free to come and sign now and he will be good."
