Zaha has rarely featured under the new United manager, Louis van Gaal, and was an unused substitute in the Capital One Cup defeat at MK Dons.
Despite no confirmation from either Manchester United or the players representatives the winger is strongly being linked with a move south. The deal will reportedly see Manchester United receive a £1.5million fee for the youngster. Zaha will reportedly join the Eagles on an initial 12-month loan spell with the option to buy at the end of the deal.
Eagles fans reacted on twitter to the rumours of a potential return for Zaha:
It's happening. Oh my god it's happening. Wilfried Zaha is coming home... I couldn't be happier, literally couldn't BE happier #cpfc

Zaha gave me my happiest moment as a Palace fan away at Brighton in 2013... I literally couldn't be happier. #cpfc pic.twitter.com/PHYOnHJ7Xb
