Andy Johnson has delighted Palace fans by signing a new five-year contract.

The in-form hitman has already banged in five goals so far this season, and has more than 50 for the club overall.

He is now committed to the club until 2010. The news comes as a timely boost after Palace celebrated their first win of the season last Monday. AJ was on target in that match and hopes to celebrate many more goals in a red and blue shirt.

"I'm absolutely delighted to have signed a new five-year contract," Johnson told the official site.

"I'm the happiest I've ever been at Palace and it's a great place to be so that's why I've signed a five-year contract."
