Kuqi set for Ipswich return

Palace striker Shefki Kuqi is set to sign for Ipswich Town on loan until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old striker was transfer listed by Neil Warnock last month after making obscence gestures at his own fans.

Warnock made it clear after that incident that he would not be playing Kuqi again.

Kuqi was a hero for Ipswich - scoring 28 goals in 77 appearances for the Tractor Boys.

That goalscoring form made his name and secured him a move to Premier League Blackburn.

However, his goal-getting touch deserted him at Ewood Park and did not return when Palace signed him for £2.5m in the summer of 2006.

Kuqi scored eight goals in 46 games for Palace.
