An Ex- Eagle returns to the nest.

"It will be nice to go back to what was my first professional club."
Ex-Palace player, Carlo Nash returns to Selhurst Park on Saturday with Manchester City, stating that he was lucky to leave when he did.

Nash transferred to Manchester City from Stockport for £100,000 in January in 2001. He made 21 appearances for Palace and he said, "You could say I got out at exactly the right time.

Carlo left on a free transfer to Stockport on the 3rd of June 1998 while negotiations
between Mark Goldberg and Ron Noades (regarding Goldberg taking over) were taking place.

Nash talked about the situation with Palace, why he left and how he is looking forward to returning to Selhurst:

"Since Noades left there's been lots of changes and it must be hard for them to get any consistency. But the reason I had to leave was because I was not getting first-team football and needed the experience. It will be nice to go back to what was my first professional club. I always keep an eye out for their results even though a lot of my old team-mates have left the club."
