Wilfried Zaha Attracting Interest From Paris Saint-Germain Following Link Up With Pini Zahavi

Exclusive: Wilfried Zaha is on the radar of French champions Paris Saint-Germain following the player's recent link up with super agent Pini Zahavi.

Zahavi has previously brokered other deals for the French champions, working on their successful acquisition of Neymar from Barcelona in 2017, while he has close ties to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich - another team to previously show interest in the Crystal Palace forward.

Interest in Zaha over the past 10-12 months has been sparse, with viable options in England hard to come by.

Frank Lampard has made it clear to the Chelsea owners that he has no desire to sign the 27-year-old, despite initial interest from the club prior to his arrival, and Palace's asking price has made it difficult for the likes of Arsenal and Everton to agree a deal to date.

The latter two clubs made approaches last summer, though interest has waned since. Everton remain in the frame but have other priorities, while the Gunners are dealing with financial issues which make a huge outlay on a player this summer unlikely unless funds are raised through player sales.

Zaha has made it clear on numerous occasions that he wishes to pursue a new challenge, but a high valuation and financial difficulties for football clubs owing to the coronavirus pandemic mean the list of possible buyers has shortened. However, sources have indicated to 90min that PSG have been in contact with Zahavi's team about a potential transfer.

Zaha is desperate to further his career and lift trophies

PSG are one of the few sides in Europe who possess the financial clout to swoop in for Zaha, having already shown their capabilities in the transfer market with the permanent signing of Mauro Icardi from Inter in a deal worth €50m (£45m) plus various add-ons.

Zahavi's influence has succeeded in widening the scope for any potential move for Zaha. Clubs in Italy, as well as Borussia Dortmund, are also among interested parties; the latter of whom could make a move to replace Manchester United target Jadon Sancho - who is expected to leave this summer.
