With the international break meaning no league football being played, there may not be as much on-the-field action to talk about but plenty has been going on.
One issue that has cropped up this week, not for the first time, is the possibility of Wilfried Zaha returning to the Eagles in January on loan. As soon as the final whistle went at Wembley back in May, there was plenty of speculation about a move for Zaha after the youngsters performances helped steer Palace through the Play Offs.
Now, with Zaha still to make a Premier League start, the national media has raised the issue again and Steve Parish, speaking to the Croydon Advertiser, said it would be something the club would be interested in.
His ability to break down the wing and beat players has been missed so far this campaign, but before supporters get too carried away it is important to remember the context of this – with it being international week there is not as much Premier League action to report on, so stories that would not normally be published get column inches.
That is not to say there is no truth to the reports, just that focus should be on the players we have that can actually make a difference to the team, rather than one who is not part of the squad.
From someone that won’t be on the Selhurst pitch in the immediate future to some who will. A number of well-known faces from television and music will be stepping onto the Selhurst turf for a charity match for the Crystal Palace Football Club Foundation and music therapy organisation Nordoff Robins. There was bad news for Peter Ramage this week, as the defender picked up a thigh injury during his loan spell at Barnsley that will see him out of action for up to six weeks.
