Gray appointed assistant to Symons

Palace caretaker manager Kit Symons has appointed old foe Stuart Gray as his assistant. Gray, the former Southampton and Aston Villa manager played for the Saints whilst Symons was at Portsmouth and the two became friends. Gray was linked with the vacant managers post at Wycombe Wanderers before Tony Adams was appointed. He will begin his Palace career at Saturday's home match against Preston.
