Fans' favourite Aki Riihilahti could be moving on from Selhurst Park in the summer, according to director of football Bob Dowie.

The 29-year-old has spent five years at Palace, but a succession of injuries have limited his chances throughout this campaign.

The midfielder's contract expires in June, and he has told Palace he does not want to discuss the possibility of signing a new one until the season is over.

"Aki intimated that he wants to go back to Finland at the end of the summer," Dowie told the Croydon Guardian.

"He may change his mind but at the moment we are waiting for him to confirm where he will be next year."

Two more players who will be out of contract in the summer – Wayne Andrews and Mikele Leigertwood – are both expected to be offered new deals.
