Match referee Eddie Evans inspected the pitch on Tuesday evening and after consulting with both managers, he called the game off.
Evan's has acted a bit quicker with his decision this time - the game scheduled for 11th January was postponed just 4 hours before kick-off - a decision which infuriated Palace Chairman Simon Jordan.
However, it seems this time around manager Trevor Francis was in full agreement with the match officials decision: "He ( Francis) saw the conditions for himself and knew the long-range weather forecast," said Bradford club secretary Jon Pollard
