Burley encouraged by away point

Crystal Palace manager George Burley hailed his young side after they earned their first away point of the campaign in a goalless draw at Cardiff. Burley's men held the worst away record in all four English leagues going into the clash, having lost all four games on their travels and conceded 12 goals without scoring. The former Scotland boss was quick to praise his team who responded with character after a 5-0 hammering at Derby on Saturday. "We are building a team and it was a million times better than Saturday," he said. "We looked at Saturday's game and where we could learn. The lads are young and they needed to know that they can't switch off. "I thought we played very well, worked hard and the gameplan worked."
