Palace cruised to a comfortable win against Ryman Premier League side Chelmsford City on Thursday night, thanks to a second-half brace from Dougie Freedman.

Boss Peter Taylor played a different side in each half of the game, with new signing Tony Craig making his first appearance.

A number of youngsters, such as centre-back Moses Swaibu and wingers Ryan Hall and Ben Kudjodji, also got a run out.

Despite plenty of pressure, the Eagles had to wait until the 74th minute for their first goal, courtesy of Freedman after a Lewis Grabban headed knock-down.

The game was won in the 83rd minute when Freedman doubled the lead after being set up by Shefki Kuqi.
