Cort bags season award

Defender Leon Cort was voted Palace fans' player of the season at the annual awards ceremony on Saturday night.

Cort's first season at Palace has been characterised by solid defending as well as an eye for goal. The former Hull City player bagged seven goals in all - making him our third highest scorer of the season.

The 27-year-old also took the Vice-Presidents' player of the year award.

The young player of the year award went to Gary Borrowdale, with Dougie Freedman's strike in the 1-1 draw at Wolves voted goal of the season.
