Cort pleads for patience

Leon Cort has pleaded with the Palace fans to show patience with the team – despite the Eagles stuttering start to their latest Championship campaign.

Palace have slipped into the bottom half of the table for the first time this season after picking up just two points from the last four matches. And the automatic promotion spots are now a distant eight points away.

However, Cort believes the 1-1 draw at Leicester last week could prove a turning point for Peter Taylor's side and that the supporters just need to give the players time.

"I think this is a good point for us because it will boost our confidence," he said.

"New players have been getting used to each other and we have also got a new manager. But by Christmas I think everything will be sorted.

"There are arguments in every dressing room and we are no different. Everything is fine now.

"We are grateful to have Peter and the supporters just need to show a little more patience at the moment."
