Counago, on a season-long loan from Ipswich, has had a stop-start spell at Palace so far but, following his winner at Doncaster at the weekend, the Spaniard revealed there was more to come.
He told the Croydon Guardian: "I`ve had a few problems over the last couple of years with my focus and enthusiasm for football but I am getting it back here.
"I have a great relationship with George and have done since my Ipswich days. There are some managers that know how to get the best out of you and it is a great feeling to be in that environment.
"Yes I would like to have played more but I know the manager has been happy with my attitude in training and he encourages me every single day.
"All I can do is keep working hard and making the most of my chances when they come along."
