Crystal Palace are plotting a move for Sassuolo forward Jeremie Boga, should Wilfried Zaha depart Selhurst Park this summer.
Zaha has been widely reported to be keen on a move away from his boyhood club during the transfer window, having been priced out of a move to Everton or Arsenal last summer.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to Tottenham, Newcastle, Everton, PSG and Monaco - with 90min revealing in June that PSG and Borussia Dortmund were targeting Palace's talisman.
Palace have already signed attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze this window and according to Sky Sports, Roy Hodgson's side are further preparing for life after Zaha by lining up compatriot Boga as his replacement - but could have a fight on their hands if they are to secure his signature.
The 23-year-old has already been the subject of a £27m offer from Napoli and a £20m bid from Rennes - the club he spent the 2015/16 season with on loan. Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen are also poised to table bids of their own before the transfer window is out.
Sassuolo are said to be holding out for more than £30m for Boga - who emerged as one of the breakout Serie A stars during the 2019/20 season.
The Ivory Coast international scored 11 goals and chipped in with four assists as Sassuolo finished eighth - the second highest finish in the club's history.
A sale of Boga this summer would see Sassuolo turn a huge profit on the forward, after he joined the club from Chelsea in 2018 for just £3.5m.
Sassuolo negotiated with the Blues to remove a buyback clause in Boga's contract earlier this summer.
Unsurprisingly, his spell at Stamford Bridge was punctuated by loan spells. Having progressed through the Chelsea youth system, Boga would only play 18 minutes of Premier League football for the Blues, spending time at Rennes, Granada and Birmingham before sealing a permanent move to Sassuolo.
