Iain Dowie has been named Nationwide League Manager of the Month – just six weeks after taking over at Palace.

The former Oldham boss has made a flying start to his Selhurst career, and oversaw a sequence of 10 points from a possible 12 in January.

That run of form has left Palace fans able to dream again of being in the play-offs come May, with sixth spot now only six points away.

"This is a very big club - that was borne out on Saturday, when we had over 20,000 here for the win against Wimbledon," said Dowie.

"It’s also a very big job I’ve taken on because Palace is a club with lots of potential. Over the few weeks I’ve been here I’ve seen a great deal of belief and desire, and this Nationwide award is a bonus."
