Iain Dowie is set to commit his future to Palace and sign a four-year contract next week.

Dowie’s representative, PFA deputy chief executive Mick McGuire, said talks are at an advanced stage and that the deal should be confirmed early next week.

"I have had a couple of meetings with Mr. Jordan and our discussions have been very meaningful," McGuire told the Press Association. "I would say we are quite far down the road and we shall be meeting again early next week, when hopefully the contract will be signed."

The news will come as music to the ears of Palace fans who have seen the former Oldham manager transform our fortunes on the pitch since his appointment last December.

"Ian is very pleased with the way the talks are progressing and is looking forward to making this new commitment to the club," added McGuire.
