Duo are key for Burley

Ambrose and Danns contributed 28 goals as Palace beat the drop last term but have been sidelined for a large chunk of this campaign through injury to put a strain on Burley's already thin squad.

However, Ambrose scored the opening goal in the 3-2 win over Watford on Tuesday night while Danns completed 90 minutes for the first time since he returned to fitness.

Burley said: "There's no doubt this season we have not had our strongest team out. On Saturday against Middlesbrough was the first time we had Darren Ambrose and Neil Danns back, while in the first game of the season we were struggling to get 14 or 15 players and we have had spells when we have had 10 or 11 players out.

"But now we have Darren and Neil back and we need to keep these key players fit because if they are not, with the size of the squad we`ve got, it will affect us."
