Crystal Palace boss George Burley looks set to miss out on the signature of defender Stephen Jordan. Burley was expected to hold talks with Jordan, who is out of contract after leaving Burnley at the end of last season. But the former Manchester City full-back, 28, has now jetted out with the Portsmouth squad for their pre-season tour of North America as he bids to earn a permanent deal at Fratton Park.
