Eagle's takeover imminent?

The American billionaire Joshua Harris is believed to be evaluating Crystal Palace as the next club to add to his portfolio. Harris co-founded Apollo Global Management, one of the world's largest alternative investment firms. The American is also the principal owner of the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League and the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association.

Reports suggest that, despite denials from the club on Friday night, advanced talks may well have taken place between Harris and his associates and current owners CPFC 2010.

Current Palace owners CPFC2010 have always described themselves as "reluctant guardians" of the roller-coaster club. Since taking over the club in the shadow of bankruptcy a takeover may convince CPFC 2010 to sell out.

After the summer drama that saw former Manager Tony Pulis leave his post over a reported disagreement over transfer funds, no Palace fan can deny that Parish and CPFC 2010 have the club's best interests at mind.
