Fleming let go by Palace

Curtis Fleming has been told his contract at Palace will not be renewed when it expires in the summer.

The 35-year-old defender has been with the Eagles for three seasons, but has seen much of that time blighted by injury.

His latest spell on the sidelines came about after chipping his fibula in January’s home draw with Burnley. Although the Ireland international is getting back to fitness, he now finds himself down the pecking order at Selhurst Park.

The emergence of Danny Butterfield as first-choice right-back means first-team opportunities have become limited for Fleming.

Iain Dowie told the official site, "He’s one of the best professionals I've ever worked with, he’s been at the heart of everything I've tried to do.

"It’s just a shame he got injured when he did. He’s a great leader and offers so much around the place. I wanted to tell him early because he deserves that."
