Freedman- Turnaround will take time

The Eagles only survived relegation on the final day of last season and look to have made a better fist of things this time around, lying six points clear of the drop zone with two games to play.

They also have a superior goal difference to Sheffield United and Scunthorpe in the drop zone.

But Freedman does not expect his side to suddenly be challenging at the other end of the table next term.

"Things will take time to get to where I want this club to be, there is no doubt about that," he said.

"We have found ourselves in a situation and we are slowly grinding ourselves out of it and we will continue to do so until we are where I believe we should be."
