Freedman wants flock of Eagles

Palace's biggest crowd of the season roared them on to a 2-1 win over Barnsley on Saturday to ease their relegation fears, and former Eagles striker Freedman wants more of the same in the future.

"The fans were really good, as they have been this year," said the Scot.

"It reminds me of when I played, those were the sorts of crowds we had. When I came back as assistant-manager it was disappointing to see 6-7,000 fans had disappeared.

"It's an aim to get back up to that level. This is a difficult place to come and with supporters it can be even more so."
