Freedman wants Leeds extension

Palace striker Dougie Freedman wants to stay at Leeds long enough to fire the club to promotion via the play-offs.

Freedman joined the Elland Road club until the end of the season, but the deal would have to be extended should they reach the play-offs.

And the forward says he is keen to stay with the Yorkshire club. "I came here to win promotion," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"My contract does say that Crystal Palace can contact me back after 28 days and I think that's up, but I'll just keep my head down and turn up for the next game with my boots."
