Once again Palace threw away a lead on Saturday when Neil Danns put them ahead against Leeds only for Luciano Becchio to score twice in the last nine minutes for the hosts.
"We go in front then our Achilles heel is we cannot seem to see a game out," said Hull loanee Gardner.
"We worked so hard and then got hit by two killer goals late on.
"We have got quality and graft for each other, but sometimes you don't get the results you deserve."
