Hill aims for permanent deal

New signing Clint Hill is hoping to make his loan deal permanent when the transfer window reopens in January.

Hill put pen to paper on a two-month loan from Stoke on Tuesday - just in time to be named in the line-up for the 1-1 draw at Cardiff.

While most think the defender is a cert for a full deal in the new year, Hill knows he has to impress in the games that remain before then.

"If everything goes well then hopefully I can stay," he told the South London Press "Obviously I've got to impress the right people here. If I do a good job for Palace hopefully things will go through smoothly in January."
