Hudson stay extended

Palace have announced that on-loan defender Mark Hudson will now be able to play against Wigan on Saturday.

The 22-year-old’s deal expired this week, with the West Ham game meant to have been his last for us under the current loan. But Palace have now been able to extend the loan to a full three months – with the result that it now expires after this weekend’s game against the Latics.

The news will come as a boost to Iain Dowie, as Hudson has been a massive influence at the back for the Eagles. Dowie has made no secret of the fact that he would like to sign the defender on a permanent basis, and still hasn’t written off the possibility of snapping him up after the loan finally expires.
