Ifill out again

Midfielder Paul Ifill faces another spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury during the win at Colchester.

Ifill had only just returned to the first team after missing most of the season through a hamstring strain. He is now expected to miss another five weeks after straining his thigh at Layer Road.

The 29-year-old's injury record has been terrible since he signed from Sheffield United this January, with the pacy winger managing only a handful of games.

Ifill is certainly feeling the frustration. "It's ridiculous," he told the Croydon Guardian. "Since I've been here I've played around 15 games and if you look at my career before this I've played 40 to 50 games a season.

"So to come here and be hit by these injuries is disappointing and frustrating. "It's doing my head in being in that treatment room."
