IFK Gothenburg 1 Palace 2

Last updated : 25 July 2007 By Nik Taylor
Palace continued their unbeaten pre-season with a decent win over Swedish side IFK Gothenburg.

Peter Taylor used the match to continue experimenting with his starting line-up, though he played a far more settled side than in recent matches where the team has been entirely changed at half time.

It took the Eagles just two minutes to take the lead in the game, with Paul Ifill continuing his impressive pre-season form by notching his third goal of the summer.

Palace were 2-0 up at the break, with James Scowcroft getting the second in the 35th minute.

IFK got back into it with a goal in the 74th minute, but Palace held on for their fifth win in six friendlies.
