Top scorer Andy Johnson is fit to play in the home game against Middlesbrough on Saturday, despite being forced out of the England squad last week with a knock.

Iain Dowie has confirmed AJ has been back in full training and will be fine to take his place in the starting eleven at the weekend.

"He [Johnson] trained fully on Tuesday and he'll train fully for the rest of the week," Dowie told Sky Sports News.

"I'm only concerned with looking forward. Andy will be fit for the weekend, so that's where we are.

"We've got an excellent Boro side coming down here and we have to do a job on them.”

Palace could climb back out of the bottom three on Saturday if we get a result and Southampton lose at home to Chelsea.
