Jordan sticks to guns over Johnson

Simon Jordan has once again sent out a message to any clubs considering a bid for star striker Andrew Johnson – hands off!

Spurs have already had a derisory bid turned away, Birmingham have shown interest and even West Brom were reportedly considering having a punt.

But despite these knock-backs, rumours continue to circulate about the future of the Eagles’ England-capped goalscorer.

Jordan, however, is having none of it and is determined to ensure AJ plays up front for Palace next season as the side try to bounce straight back into the Premiership.

"Andrew Johnson is a fantastic player - but he is our player, and I have made that quite clear," Jordan told Sky Sports News.

"I'm not interested in anyone making an offer for him; Iain and I are resolute about that.

"It's almost a mission for me to have him here [when the transfer window closes] on August 31, because everyone thinks we are going to sell him."
