Kiraly happy to stay and fight

Palace keeper Gabor Kiraly is happy to stay with the Eagles despite suffering relegation to the Championship.

Kiraly was one of our key players during last season, managing a creditable 10 clean sheets in 34 Premiership appearances.

Such form in a team that was ultimately unable to keep its place in the top flight is bound to make him a target for a few Premiership sides.

But Kiraly says he is happy to stay and see out the two-year deal he signed last season – so long as the club doesn’t need to sell him.

''What will happen next season?'' Kiraly told Nemzeti Sport.

''I don't have any problems with the club and one should know that in England they behave differently to the question of relegation.

''There will be a new goal at Crystal Palace and I wouldn't mind staying here, but in the present world it is money that is dominating.

''The footballer's wish is only second.''
