Joonas Kolkka has had his contract cancelled by Palace and has signed a one-year deal with Dutch outfit ADO Den Haag.

The 30–year-old Finland international arrived at Selhurst Park just over a year ago from Borussia Monchengladbach on a three-year deal.

He started last year’s Premiership campaign in promising fashion, but struggled to regain his place in the starting eleven after picking up an injury half-way through the season.

That struggle looked likely to continue in the Championship, with Kolkka watching most of the early-season matches from the comfort of the bench.

Kolkka made 28 appearances for Palace, scoring three goals in the process.
