Lakis first to leave

Vassilios Lakis has become the first player out of the Selhurst Park doors following Palace’s relegation to the Championship.

The winger has re-signed for Greek side AEK Athens on a three-year deal.

Lakis never really established himself in the Eagles side during the Premiership campaign, despite occasionally showing some of the quality that made him part of Greece’s successful Euro 2004 squad.

The 28-year-old made 18 appearances in red-and-blue, 12 of those coming from the substitute bench.

Gonzalo Sorondo is also believed to be on his way out of the club after his one-year loan deal from Inter Milan came to an end.
