Leeds v Palace - Team news preview

Last updated : 09 February 2007 By Nik Taylor
Leeds may have fallen on hard times of late, but Elland Road is still not top of the list of easy grounds at which to defend an unbeaten record.

Palace have not suffered a reverse in the league since before Christmas - but too many of those results have been draws, so the Eagles have to be aiming for all three points tomorrow.

That task will be made more tricky due to the ever-increasing injury list. Skipper Carl Fletcher is doubtful after picking up a knock while on international duty, while last week's man-of-the-match Paul Ifill is also unlikely to feature. Tom Soares misses out as he is banned after his red card last Saturday.

Add to that list Jobi McAnuff, Stuart Green, Ben Watson, Danny Granville and Michael Hughes - all of whom are doubtful - and it looks like Peter Taylor might be relying on his second string players.

Leeds have no such concerns, with only Jonathan Douglas definitely out.

Probable Palace XI:

Kiraly
Butterfield Hudson Cort Lawrence
Martin Kennedy Borrowdale
Freedman
Morrison Kuqi
