Mikele Leigertwood could be on his way back to the Premiership, with both Sheffield United and Watford reportedly interested in his signature.
The 24-year-old defender will soon be out of contract, and has yet to agree a new deal at Selhurst Park.
It is thought new boss Peter Taylor is keen to keep hold of Leigertwood – who can also play in midfield – but the interest from the top flight could result in him leaving.
Championship rivals Cardiff City are also believed to be keen on the former Wimbledon star.
