Macken in last-minute Derby move

Jon Macken has joined Championship pace-setters Derby County on a free transfer.

The former Manchester City striker joined Palace in the summer of 2005 but never made an impact on the side, scoring just twice in 30 appearances.

He never featured in the plans of current boss Peter Taylor, but now has a chance of a return to the Premiership with the Rams.
