Jobi McAnuff will sign for Palace later in the week once he agrees final terms on a contract.

The transfer from Cardiff City of the Jamaican winger has been agreed, with a fee of around £450,000 believed to be involved.

The 23-year-old is being signed as a direct replacement for the outgoing Wayne Routledge.

McAnuff told the Western Mail: "I know quite a few of the players at Palace and it's nice to go into an environment where there are a few friendly faces.

"Palace were unlucky to get relegated from the Premier League and their aim is to go straight back up.

"The thought of playing for Palace and maybe playing in the Premiership excites me.

"I'm looking forward to working with Iain Dowie. I've heard a lot of good things about him."
