More cash flow problems for Palace

Neil Warnock said "I explained to the players the chairman has a cash-flow problem and the wages will be paid 10 days late.

"So it will be in time for their Christmas shopping if not for my birthday. They were okay with that and very supportive. Simon Jordan is a smart businessman and it's just a matter of cash flow."

Palace were in the headlines for the wrong reasons over the summer as well with late payments.

Warnock added in the South London Press: "Everyone in football tends not to bother when things go wrong but I think the opposite - I'm committed to Simon and I want the players to support me in the same way.

"I've not got many years left in management and I want to be looking at the top end of the table, because I want to be in the Premier League.

"But I'm also aware of Simon's commitment, not just now but over the last couple of years. I owe it to him to get the lads prepared and going as best I can and support him in a difficult period. He's been the best chairman I've ever had."
