The defender scored against Derby at the weekend in a 2-2 draw against his former employers, leaving the Eagles four points above the relegation zone.
But the 25-year-old is confident the London club can survive.
"We`ve got the ability in the team to score goals from nothing with people like Darren Ambrose, Neil Danns and Pablo Counago coming off the bench.
"They are fantastic players, but we are in a relegation battle and have just got to keep scrapping," he told Your Local Guardian.
