Myhre hopes for Eagles switch

On-loan keeper Thomas Myhre has indicated he would be happy to sign for Palace on a permanent basis.

The stopper has been a revelation between the sticks during his three-month loan period – which runs out after the Bradford match on Saturday. And he says he would love to seal a move to Selhurst Park to ensure regular football.

“I need to play games and if Palace and Sunderland come to an agreement I would seriously consider staying permanently,” said Myhre.

“I am a Sunderland player first and foremost, but I will be able to leave on a free transfer. Hopefully a club will come in for me as I need games.

“I am delighted that Crystal Palace gave me the chance to play for them. From the day I got here all the people at the club and the fans have been so good to me,” Myhre told the Streatham Post newspaper.

With the Norweigan having made such an impact in his time at Palace, we can only hope a deal can be thrashed out.
