New owners plan major Selhurst Park transformation

The US investment duo Josh Harris and David Blitzer hope to clinch a buy-out of Premier League Palace before January, according to The Mirror.

The pair intend to complete the deal using their US equity fund Blackstone, where Blitzer is senior managing director.

The duo have reportedly identified the club as having huge potential as a London club in a large catchment area. The pair have however suggessted that the club have an ageing stadium that desperately needs modernisation.

It is reported that the duo aim to allow current Palace co-chairman Steve Parish run the club after the sale, but the Americans hope to be in control by January.
