One point's enough for Taylor

Peter Taylor insists he is happy to have taken a point from the away game at Burnley - a match Palace really had to win to have any chance of getting back into the play-off frame.

Palace took the lead at Turf Moor through Clinton Morrison's headed effort, only to be pegged back by Eagles old-boy Ade Akinbiyi.

The solitary point from the tie means Palace are now ten points behind sixth placed Southampton, having played a game more.

But Taylor is adamant there are positives to be taken from the performance.

"I thought we finished the game well," Taylor told the official site.

"At times we didn't play enough football, but in the last 25 minutes we did after Ben Watson came on and that helped us play a bit more through midfield and more of a threat.

"We had some good chances in the end with Scowy's header and Tom's shot, so I was pleased with that.

"Burnley away is a difficult match, they have hard strikers to play against and it was a hard pitch to play on too.

"I'm pleased with a point from the game."
