Palace in for trio

Palace have made confirmed bids for West Ham duo Marlon Harewood and Michael Carrick, as well as Southampton defender Fitz Hall.

The biggest offer is for Hammers midfielder Carrick, for whom the Eagles have tabled a £2.5m offer. A bid of £1.5 million has been made for Hall, with £1m put down for marksman Harewood.

Eagles fans will be hoping the club can avoid a repeat of the Tim Cahill fiasco – the only other time this summer the club have gone public with a potential transfer before it’s been finalised. The Cahill deal collapsed shortly after a £2m bid was made public on the official web site.
