Whispers that Palace may be on the brink of signing Internazionale defender Francesco Coco appear to have some substance to them after all.
It’s been reported recently that Iain Dowie is looking to bring the left-back in on loan as competition for Danny Granville’s place – and Coco’s agent has now confirmed those reports.
With Nicola Ventola and Gonzalo Sorondo already at Palace from Inter, a move for the highly-rated stopper looks quite possible.
"It is true that Crystal Palace are interested in Francesco," the player's agent Claudio Vigorelli told skysports.com. "They are keen to sign him on loan.
"I am having a meeting with Internazionale to discuss the move and we will wait and see as they only have Giuseppe Favalli and Francesco who can play at left back."
