Wayne Andrews strengthened his claims for a first team starting spot with an impressive brace as Palace reserves demolished Ipswich at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles took a first-half lead through Ryan Hall, but were pegged back before half-time.

However, the second half saw Palace go on the rampage with Andrews netting twice and Mark Hudson and Sam Togwell adding the others.

Since winning away at Leicester at the start of September, Kit Symons’ reserves side have drawn 2-2 at Arsenal, lost 1-0 at Charlton and won 2-1 at Portsmouth.

Added to last night’s win, that run of results sees Palace go top of the Barclays Premiership Reserve League South.
