Palace have completed the signing of midfielder Paul Ifill from Sheffield United for a fee of £750,000.
The former Millwall player has agreed a deal with the Eagles that will keep him at
Ifill signed for the Blades in May 2005, and was a highly regarded regular in the side that achieved promotion last season.
However, he has barely figured for Neil Warnock's side during this campaign, and was placed on the transfer list.
Ifill said: "I have come to a club that is geared for the Premiership again and that is what we are hoping for.
"It wasn't a difficult choice and I'm looking forward to it now.
"I had been talking to another club but my agent rang and told me that Palace were interested and from there it was pretty straightforward really.
