Palace to make 29 staff redundant

The club has been in administration since January and narrowly avoided the drop after they were docked 10 points.

The group, CPFC 2010, is made up of local businessmen and was named as the administrators' preferred bidders at the end of March.

The Eagles endured a torrid season after their points deduction saw them change from play-off hopefuls to relegation candidates, and manager Neil Warnock then left for London rivals Queens Park Rangers.

They survived relegation on the final day of the season after a 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday saw their South Yorkshire counterparts end the season in the drop zone instead.
